Connecting the sensor and headphones to the display unit
To operate the device in Ferrolux mode, one of the following two sensors must be
connected to the socket
of the indicator unit:
Reader coil IFA
for cable identification (see page 70)
Receiver iFS
for line location and tracing (see page 51)
The acoustic signal is emitted during the current positioning in Ferrolux mode via the
Pizo loudspeaker integrated into the indicator unit unit. Use of the headphones is
therefore not absolutely necessary in principle, but is recommended especially if the
measurement is performed in a particularly noisy environment.
Depending on the headphones used, this is connected to the indicator unit via either a
3.5 mm jack socket
or Bluetooth (see page 87).
