Changing the saw blade
NOTE:
Turn off the tool and unplug the power cord
before starting work.
1.
Open and lower the parallel guide fence.
2.
Open the upper and lower blade guards.
3.
Loosen the clamping screw (A) and remove
the blade.
4.
Fit a new blade.
5.
Manually turn the band wheel in the direction
of sawing and adjust the tension using the
clamping screw (A). The amount of tension
depends on the width of the blade. Wide saw
blades require more tension than narrow
blades. Refer to the tension scale on the
band saw.
NOTE:
Too much tension will shorten the life of the
blade. Always slacken off blade tension when you
have finished working by loosening the clamping
screw (A).
Side adjustment
The saw blade must run in the centre of the band wheels.
Manually turn the band wheel in the direction of cutting and adjust the saw blade laterally using the knob
(B).
Tighten the wing nut (C) after adjusting. Close the cover. Raise the parallel guide fence and secure it in
place.
