– Only use an approved fuel container.
– Never remove the fuel tank cap or fill
up with petrol when the engine is
running. Let the engine and exhaust
components cool before refuelling.
– Do not smoke when refuelling or
cutting.
– Never refuel indoors.
– Never store the machine or fuel
container indoors where there are
ignition sources such as a boiler, water
heater, tumble drier and electric
motors that could emit sparks, in
order to avoid the risk of the ignition
of fuel vapour.
– Do not start the machine if fuel has
been spilled. Move the machine away
from any fuel spill before starting. Be
careful not to ignite spilled petrol.
– Always replace and tighten the fuel
cap after refuelling.
• If the cutting mechanism knocks against a
foreign object, or if the machine starts
vibrating or making an abnormal noise,
switch off the engine and wait until all
moving parts have completely stopped.
Release the spark plug lead from the spark
plug and follow the instructions below:
– Check the machine to see if it is
damaged.
– Check and tighten any loose parts.
– Repair any damaged parts or replace
them with parts of the same type.
• The maximum permitted operating
temperature and humidity are given below:
– Max operating temperature: 40 °C.
– Max humidity: 95%.

the machine and how they are used.

unfamiliar with the machine and these
instructions, to use it. There may be local
regulations for the minimum age of
persons allowed to use the machine.
• Do not use the machine when other
persons, especially children, or pets are in
the vicinity.
• The user is responsible for any accidents or
risks to other persons or property.
• Major repairs must only be carried out by
qualified personnel.
Preparations
• Avoid cutting near power lines.
• Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear
loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. They can
get caught in moving parts. Wear thick
gloves, non-slip shoes and safety glasses.
• Observe extra care when handling fuel. It is
flammable and the fumes are explosive.
