Horizontal Coincidence (Aniseikonia) Test

Purpose: Operate Aniseikonia and horizontal Heterophoria test by
coincidence (Aniseikonia) chart during subjective test.
-
Chart: Horizontal coincidence (Aniseikonia) chart
-
Auxiliary Lens: Polarized filter with 135 degrees (for right eye), and
45 degrees (for left eye)
-
Objective: The upper half of the square seen with the right eye and
the lower half of the square seen with the left eye must
be arranged as a regular square, and the fixation should
be the center of square.

Operation sequence
1.
Press Aniseikonia chart to enter horizontal Heterophoria test
mode.
2.
Ask the patient whether he can see the square and dot, and if
yes, ask whether upper/lower half of square are arranged
straightly.

In case that the upper half of square is more on right side
than the lower half of square: “Esophoria”, turn the dial
clockwise to increase BO prism, until the upper/lower half of
square is arranged straightly.

In case that the upper half of square is more on left side that
the lower half of square: “Exophoria”, turn the dial
counterclockwise to increase BI prism, until the upper/lower
half of square is arranged straightly.
3.
When the test is over, press [OK] button to save the result, or
press [CANCEL] button to delete the result.
4.
If necessary, ask the patient additional question as following
-
“Is the dot located in the center of square?”, “two half of
square have same size?” If the size is same, there is no
