8.4.1. Windows 7 and Windows 8
For the Wi-Fi Direct connection under Windows 7
and Windows 8, you must install appropriate WiDi
software.
8.4.2. Windows 8.1 and higher
The Wi-Fi Direct function is already available in
most Windows versions starting with Windows 8.1
(see “4.2. Miracast on Windows PCs” on page 18).
Open the Charms Bar and select
Devices
.
Then select
Project
and click
Add a wireless
display
to start the search for available Miracast/
WiDi devices.
