USB
A USB connection can be used to connect and read storage media such as a USB stick or external hard drive. Use a
suitable USB cable for this purpose. If a corresponding USB cable is included in the delivery, please use this cable
(e.g. for hard drives).
− Connect the corresponding USB connections on the devices using a suitable USB cable. Do not use a USB
extension cable where possible because this could cause problems depending on the voltage.
SPDIF
SPDIF (Sony
®
/Phillips digital interface) is an interface for transferring digital stereo or multi-channel audio signals
between various devices. The digital audio signal is usually transmitted via a coaxial (cinch) or optical connection.
Use a suitable, standard cable for this purpose.
− Connect the SPDIF connections on the devices using a corresponding SPDIF cable.
VGA (PC)
The VGA connection can be used to connect a PC to a monitor/TV for transmitting the picture signal. Use a standard
VGA cable for this purpose.
− Connect the VGA connections on the devices using a VGA cable.
VGA (YPbPr)
The VGA connection on the TV can be used for transmitting the YPbPr picture signal. Use a corresponding YPbPr
adapter for this purpose.
− Connect the VGA connection on the TV to the YPbPr cinch connections (red/blue/green) on the video device.
Use a corresponding YPbPr adapter for this purpose.
− Use the AV audio connections on the TV (red/white) for transmitting the sound and connect them to the YPbPr
audio connections on the video device (red/white). Use a standard stereo cinch cable for this purpose.
− If the TV has AV mini jack connections, please use a suitable AV adapter (cinch > mini jack) (optional).
LAN
You have the option of connecting the device to the Internet via a LAN connection and thus accessing online
content (e.g. streaming services) via the device.
− Connect the LAN connections on the devices using a network cable (Ethernet cable).
− Enter all of the required network settings on the devices.
Headphones Out
The headphones connection enables you to connect up headphones with a stereo mini jack.
− Connect the headphones with the stereo mini jack to the device. The speaker will then be muted on some
devices.
− Otherwise, enter all of the required settings in the sound menu to coordinate the speaker and headphone
signals with one another.
CAUTION!
Risk of damage to your hearing!
To prevent possible damage to your hearing, avoid listening at high volume over long periods of
time.
− Before pressing play, set the volume to the lowest setting.
− Start playback and increase the volume to a comfortable level.
