User manual for medifa 5000 operating table Version 2.1
Model 501135 has the same functions as model 501130 (see Fig. 4) plus a longitudinally adjustable table top.
The table top can be moved manually by a total of 310 mm. It can be locked at 30 mm intervals. The relocating
takes place by pressing the release button completely. The lying surface can now be moved. The locking can be
done by releasing the release button. After releasing, the upper frame can be moved a little further, if necessary,
until the latch engages. Then the table top is fixed and can no longer be moved. When moving, the zero position
is noticeable by a latching noise or a slight resistance. The zero position is the middle position (original position)
of the table top.
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
•
The table top may only be relocated in direction A if Trendelenburg is horizontal and the leg plate(s) is/are
not in the negative range. The position of the backrest can be disregarded here.
•
The table top may only be relocated in direction B if Trendelenburg is horizontal and the backrest is not in
the negative range. The position of the leg plate(s) can be disregarded here.
•
The 61125 and 63000_1 accessories may only be used if the operating table is not shifted in a longitudinal
manner.
•
The twin castors on the foot side must be directed forward (see Fig. 7) before the operating table is locked
(braking) to ensure safe working.
WARNING
Risk of personal injury due to tilting of the medifa 5000!.
If the Trendelenburg or anti-Trendelenburg positioning system is used to adjust the tilt, the longitudinal
displacement feature must not be used, as this creates a risk of the patient falling. Please familiarise yourself
with the behaviour of the operating table under patient load before using the table.
