15. Airframe Fuel Filter
(Ref. Figure 208)
Prevent fuel vapor ignition.
Turn OFF and disconnect all
electrical power. Electrically ground
helicopter before opening fuel system.

NOTE: This task is typical for LH and RH air5
frame fuel filters.
A. Airframe Fuel Filter Removal
(1). Gain access to components as necessary
(Ref. CSP−900RMM−2 Section
12−00−00).
(2). Disconnect battery and external power
(Ref. CSP−900RMM−2).
(3). Place suitable fuel container under fuel
filter drain line.
(4). Push the drain control (1) to drain fuel
from airframe fuel filter (2).
(5). Remove 22 bolts (3) and washers (4)
from access cover (5) and drain control
guard (6). Remove cover and drain
control guard.
(6). Disconnect electrical plug from connec5
tor (7).
(7). Remove drain control (1)
(Ref. Drain Control Removal).
(8). Remove fitting seal (8) from enclosure
(9).
(a). Disconnect hose (10) from fitting seal
(8) on the exterior of the enclosure
(9).
(b). Remove nut (11), washer (12) and
adapter hose fitting (13) that attach
fitting seal (8) to the enclosure (9).
(c). Remove lockwire and disconnect hose
(15) from adapter hose fitting (13).
(d). Remove fitting seal (8) from enclo5
sure (9).
(9). Remove reducer fitting (14) from filter
bowl (2).
(a). Remove lockwire from hose (15).
Remove hose.
(b). Remove reducer fitting (14) and
packing (16) from filter bowl (2).
(c). If necessary, disassemble reducer
fitting (14), packing (16), fuel drain
valve (17), and packing (18).
(10). Disconnect inlet hose (19) and outlet
hose (20) from filter bowl (2).
(a). If necessary, remove two external
flareless tube reducers (21) and
packings (22) from airframe fuel
filter (2).
(11). Remove three bolts (23), washers (24),
spacers (25) and bond jumper (26) from
airframe fuel filter (2) bracket (27).
(12). Remove airframe fuel filter (2) from
enclosure (9).

(1). If necessary, install two external
flareless tube reducers (21) and pack5
ings (22) onto airframe fuel filter (2).

(2). Apply a bead of sealing compound
(C208). around base of connector (7).
(3). Place airframe fuel filter (2) in enclo5
sure (9).
