NOTE:
This operational test is typical for LH or
RH Fuel Vapor Shroud System. Repeat test
for the opposite side fuel vapor shroud sys5
tem.
(1). Open upper and lower transmission
access door assembly L210 or R210
(Ref. CSP−900RMM−2, Section
06−00−00).
(2). Remove and discard lockwire and
disconnect vapor shroud duct (1. 50 ID
hose) from top of FMU vapor shroud
box. Plug vapor shroud box opening.
Helicopter must be defueled be5
fore both floor panels AL165
and AR165 are removed. Structural damage
can occur if both of these panels are re5
moved with fuel in the helicopter. Panel
AL165 or AR165 may be removed individu5
ally without defueling helicopter.
(3). Remove cabin and baggage compart5
ment floor access panels; AL165,
AR165, A235, AL250, AR250 (Ref.
CSP−900RMM−2, Section 53−20−00).
(4). Disconnect the left or right vapor
shroud drain hose from the engine
drain hose tee fitting.
(5). Plug the vapor shroud drain hose and
fuel filter drain hose.
(6). Apply and maintain a constant
0. 2
+
0. 7 psig (1. 38 kPa) or 6
+
2. 0
inches of water
regulated air pres5
sure to the left or right fuel cell frangi5
ble valve outlet shroud drain hose
(0.
250 inch ID rubber hose)
. With the
air pressure applied, the manometer
(T2014−4) shall indicate
6
+
2. 0
inches of water
.
(7). With air pressure applied, check for any
external leakage of the shrouds and
drains with liquid leak detector (C809).
Repair or replace as necessary and
retest.
(8). If test is successful, remove air source
from fuel cell frangible valve outlet
shroud drain hose.
(9). Unplug and reconnect left or right
vapor shroud drain hose to the engine
drain hose tee fitting.
(10). Unplug the fuel filter drain hose.
(11). Install cabin and baggage compartment
floor access panels; AL165, AR165,
A235, AL250, AR250 (Ref.
CSP−900RMM−2, Section 53−20−00).
(12). Connect vapor shroud duct to top of
FMU vapor shroud box. Secure vapor
shroud duct with lockwire (C702).
(13). Close upper and lower transmission
access door assembly L210 or R210
(Ref. CSP−900RMM−2, Section
06−00−00).
