OPERATING AREA
If installing together with other heating equipment, provide suitable air
intakes for each (according the indications of each product).
It is not permissible to install the stove in bedrooms,
bathrooms, or in a room where another heating
appliance is installed which does not have its own
independent air intake.
Locating the stove in a room with an explosive
atmosphere is prohibited.
The floor of the room where the stove is to be
installed must be strong enough to take its weight.
In the case of flammable walls, keep a minimum distance to the rear
(A)
of 5 cm, to the side
(B)
10 cm, a minimum distance from the tube
to the wall
(E)
of 5 cm and to the front 100 cm.
If the room contains objects which are believed to be particularly
delicate, such as drapes, sofas and other furniture, their distance from
the stove should be considerably increased.
2.4.
CONNECTION TO THE COMBURENT AIR INLET
PIPE (1)
Pipes and unions with suitable gaskets must always
be used, to guarantee a hermetic seal.
Products built with Oyster technology, thanks to a perfectly sealed
frame, do not consume oxygen by taking all the air from the
environment outside so therefore can be placed inside every home
properly insulated and within passive houses.
In order to satisfy these requirements, the connection pipe, with a
diameter of 80 mm, for the comburent air inlet
(1)
must be
connected outside the building.
The air intake must also:
be protected by a grill, made of metallic anti-insect mesh or a
suitable protection as long as it does not reduce the minimum
section.
be installed so as to avoid obstruction
the maximum permitted length for the duct is 6 m with two 90°
curves
The stove must be connected to the external air
intakes with pipes and unions that guarantee a
hermetic seal to fulfil the requirements of an airtight
stove (OYSTER technology).
