EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL AIR INLET
COMBUSTION AIR INLET
The closed fireplace has a hole with a diameter of 150 mm for the intake of the air required for combustion.
Use a hose to connect the air intake hole to the exterior of the cladding and connect it to a grid so that the route is separate from the
natural or forced convection air.
NEVER CLOSE THE COMBUSTION AIR INTAKE HOLE.
NATURAL VENTILATION/FORCED VENTILATION AIR INLET
If the closed fireplace is installed with forced ventilation, that is by using a Comfort Air kit, the air inlets and ducting must be conducted
as follows:
•
to ensure correct oxygen renewal in the room, we recommend setting up a 180 cm2 external air inlet so that clean, fresh air can be
drawn in and another inlet in the room where the closed fireplace is placed (again a 180 cm2 air inlet).
This will ensure that the air inside the room where the equipment is installed is mixed properly and will guarantee better cooling for
the closed fireplace’s structure.
•
If you cannot carry out this kind of connection, you will still need to set up the two air inlets, whether they are both from the inside or
outside. Depending on the choice, you will have slightly higher or lower operating temperatures compared to average values, though
they will not prevent the product from working properly.
