8. Connection to the Audio System
Before connecting it, disconnect the DJ station and all other devices which are to be connected
to it from the mains voltage (unplug mains plug from the socket).
Only connect the device with suitable shielded connection cables. Use of any other cables may
cause interferences.
To avoid distortions or mismatches which could damage the device, only connect devices with
the same connection type.
For this, observe also the connection information in the section “Technical Data”.
Always connect the white socket to the left channel and the red socket to the right channel.
• Connect the OUTPUT MASTER (48) to the input of your amplifier.
• Connect the OUTPUT REC (48) to the input of your recorder.
• Connect the INPUT (50) connections to the outputs of external audio sources and set the switches
PHONO/LINE (49 and 51) according to the connected device type.
Position PHONO for record players
Position LINE for line devices like CD players, tubers, tapes, etc.
• If your record player has its own earth line (usually a thin, black cable with clamp-type socket), connect it to
earthing screw GND (47). This prevents humming distortion.
• Connect your headphones to the HEADPHONES socket (28).
• Connect your microphone to the connection MIC IN (25) or DJ MIC (52). The connections are suitable for dynamic
microphones or condenser microphones with their own power supply.
Only connect a microphone either to the connection MIC IN (25) or to the connection DJ MIC (52).
