USING THE PULSE COMPUTER
In pulse mode, keep pressing key “
B
” until the
letters ZN are displayed in the centre line of the
display. The current training zone is now dis-
played in the bottom line with the upper and
lower limits.
Press key “
C
” to switch the alarm on or off for
the relevant training zone. If the training zone
alarm is activated, the alarm icon appears in
the display. The pulse computer will now let you
know:
• when your pulse rate falls below the preset
training zone by beeping
once
a second.
• when your pulse rate is above the preset
training zone by beeping
twice
a second.
• when your current pulse rate is 99% or more
of your MHR by beeping
four times
a second.
In order to minimise the risk of injury, if your
pulse rate reaches 99% of your maximum heart
rate (MHR) – or exceeds it – a warning tone
sounds (4 beeps per second).
If the alarm is not enabled (no alarm icon dis-
played), only a visual warning occurs (% of MHR
blinks). There is no audible warning if the MHR
is exceeded!
