f)
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to
bind and are easier to control.
g)
Use the power tool, tool bits etc. in
accordance with these instructions.
Take account of the working condi-
tions and the work to be performed.
Use of power tools for operations
different from those intended could
result in a hazardous situation.
h)
Keep handles and gripping surfaces
dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
Slippery handles and gripping surfac-
es do not allow safe operation and
control of the power tool in unfore-
seen situations.
5) Cordless Tool Use and Care
a)
Only charge up batteries using
chargers which are recommended by
the manufacturer.
A charger which is
suitable for a certain kind of battery
presents a risk of fire if it is used with
other batteries.
b)
Only use the batteries which are
intended to be used in the power
tools.
The use of different batteries
may cause injuries and a risk of fire.
c)
Keep the unused battery away from
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws
or other small metallic objects which
might cause the contacts to be
bypassed.
A short circuit between the
battery contacts may cause burns or
a fire.
d)
If used incorrectly, fluid may escape
from the battery. Avoid any con-
tact with it. Rinse with water if you
happen to come into contact with it.
If the fluid gets into your eyes, you
should also seek medical assistance.
Escaping battery fluid can lead to skin
irritations or burns.
e)
Do not use a battery that has been
damaged or modified.
Damaged or
modified batteries may display unpre-
dictable behaviour which may lead to
a fire, explosion or risk of injury.
f)
Do not expose a battery to fire or
high temperatures.
Fire or tem-
peratures of over 130°C may cause
explosions.
g)
Follow all instructions for charging
the battery. Only ever charge the
battery or the power tool within the
temperature range which is spec-
ified in the operating instructions.
Inappropriate charging or charging
at temperatures outside the specified
range may damage the battery and
increase the risk of fire.
h) If the battery is damaged and used
inappropriately, vapours may escape.
Get some fresh air and consult a
doctor if you feel unwell. The vapours
may irritate the respiratory passages.
