Damaged cylinder seals and contaminated hydraulic fluid can result from paint

ing the polished portion of the cylinder rod. To prevent damage, protect the
exposed polished portion of the cylinder rod while painting.
CAUTION
TOUCHUP PAINTED OR GALVANIZED FINISH

If bare metal or primer is exposed on the painted portions of the Liftgate, touch up the
paint. To maintain the protection provided by the original paint system,
MAXON
recommends aluminum primer touchup paint kit,

If bare metal is exposed on galvanized portions of the Liftgate, touch up the galvanized
finish. To maintain the protection provided by the original galvanized finish,

recommends cold galvanize spray,
