8.0 Servicing
8.0.1
Check the system for external damage prior to use. Stop using a system/device if it is damaged.
8.0.2
Visual and performance checks for damage or stiffness in the system must be carried out by
the user
every six months
.
8.0.3
The following tests must be carried out by a qualified service technician every
2 years
. Refer to the information in the Portegra2 installation instructions
(POR03Oxx) where needed.
8.0.4
Check all connections of movable parts for performance and smooth movement.
8.0.5
Perform a purely visual inspection of the items below. All the screw heads must be firmly
seated in the components.
Ceiling track
:
Check the screws on the end cap(s) and/or cable reel (1/Fig. 11).
Cable reel
:
Check the cable (2/Fig. 11) for damage. Check by moving the column to
(if present)
see if the cable is still reeled in properly.
360° - column:
Check all swivel joints for looseness.
Check that the locking ring on the mounting pin (3/Fig. 13) is still entirerly
in the groove. (beneath the covering). Check the screws (4/Fig. 13) at the
360° mounting (beneath the covering).
Check the screws in the safety collars (5/Fig. 13).
TWIN - column:
Check all swivel joints for looseness.
Check that the locking rings on the mounting pins on both arms (if present)
(3/Fig. 13) are still entirely in the groove (beneath the covering).
Check the screws in the safety collars (5/Fig. 13).
Monitor support:
The screws between the VESA mounting and the monitor must be checked
on all monitor supports (6/Fig. 12).
To adjust the settings, such as the spring tension and the height of the spring arm,
please refer to the information in the Portegra2 installation instructions (POR03Oxx).
CAUTION – Damage to threadlocking adhesive.
Do not use any tools to check screws fastened with Loctite. Doing so could damage
the threadlocking adhesive.

CAUTION – Risk of injury.
If components have loosened or you are not sure whether the components are still in
good order, please advise the relevant service technician of the company responsible
for the installation.
Stop all use of the device until the damage is rectified:
Disconnect the system from the mains. Do not stand or work beneath the system.
