• Interlaced scanning
Describes a transfer of data in which the odd-numbered lines of the source are
written to the destination buffer first, and then the even-numbered lines (or
vice-versa).

• Latency
The time from when an operation is started to when the final result is produced.
• PCI
Peripheral Component Interconnect . Present day standard expansion bus.
• PCI-X
Peripheral Component Interconnect Extended. An enhanced PCI bus standard that
doubles the speed and the data exchanged between the system bus and the
peripherals.
• PCIe
Peripheral Component Interconnect Express. A high speed serial transmission
protocol based upon the PCI bus standard.
• Progressive scanning
Describes a transfer of data in which the lines of the source are written sequentially
into the destination buffer.
