Installing the Matrox Vio Duo board 17
If you intend to connect multiple video devices, or a device that requires additional
synchronization and control signals, you will need to install the expanded video
input adapter board. This will require an additional empty slot. This slot can be
any type of PCI slot and need not be adjacent to the Matrox Vio Duo board. Note
that the expanded video input adapter board does not plug into a slot’s
PCI/PCI-X/PCIe connector; it attaches only to the back of the computer’s chassis.
3. Remove the metal plate(s) at the back of the selected slot(s), if present. If the metal
plate is held in place using a screw, keep the removed screw(s). You will need the
screw to anchor the board onto the chassis or to secure the expanded video input
adapter board, if installed.
4. Position your Matrox Vio Duo board over the selected slot. Once aligned perfectly,
press the board firmly but carefully into the connector of the slot.
