Data Services

The GSM Data Services allows GSM users to send and receive data files over the GSM network. Matrix SIMADO 
GFXD1111S supports sending and receiving of data from its Mobile Port. For this application, SIMADO GFXD1111S 
should be in SMS + In Fax + Data mode. (Refer 

“Mode of Operation”

 for more details)

This feature is not supported if CDMA Module is installed in the Mobile Port. 

How to Send and Receive Data using the SIMADO GFXD1111S?

The data transfer service for SIMADO GFXD1111S must be enabled by the Service Provider. SIMADO GFXD1111S 
must be operating in SMS + In Fax + Data Mode. 

•

Set Baud Rate (SMS + In FAX + Data) to either '0 (Autobauding)' or '9600' by using command: 

232-Baud Rate-#*

“Mode of Operation”

 for details)

•

Set up the Modem. 

•

Create a connection type using HyperTerminal.

•

Make all settings same on both PCs. The receiving PC should be in 'Wait for Call', when user is in dialing 
state.

•

You can successfully send/receive data using the SIMADO GFXD1111S.

Setup the Modem:
