A stratum reference level of “0” is defined to be “disabled”.
In addition to the Stratum Level assignment, the allowable time dissemination duration for the operation on the Internal
Clock can be configured in the Advanced Configuration section (see below).
NOTE: The NTP100-GPS has a GPS receiver built in and can be considered a Stratum Level 1 device, as such, it can be
assigned a stratum level of “1” for the “External High Precision Reference” (defined to be: when locked to GPS).
Set NTP Server Port
To configure the port that the NTP100 serves time requests on, select option ‘A’. The well-known port for NTP server
services is 123.
Set NTP Broadcast Options
To configure broadcast transmission options, select option ‘B’. This allows broadcast transmission of NTP packets to be
enabled or disabled, and to adjust the broadcast port and transmission frequency.
Configure Telnet Interface
To adjust this configuration, select option ‘C’. If Telnet is allowed, define the telnet port. The well-known port for telnet
services is 23
. If turned off, the telnet session will be ended and the user must use WinDiscovery, RS-232 access, or the
Reset Configuration button to re-enable it.
