The pump must not be used to deliver faeces, solids > 10 mm, sea- and saltwater, acids
and alkalis, inflammable liquids, permanent hot liquids above 45°C /113°F (permitted is
max. 3 min. at liquid temperature up to 80°C / 176°F).
1.4
Liability and warranty
No liability is accepted for damage and disruption attributable to non-compliance with the operating
instructions, improper use discribed in the section 1.3, or unauthorized modifications and the use of non-
original spare parts and accessories by the user.
No compensation for damages is accepted, regardless of the legal-ground.
Appropriate measures should be taken to avert material or non-material damage in the event of pump
failure, e.g., by installing a second pump, a mains-independent alarm system or other accessories.
Warranty claims are to be notified immediately after the fault or defect has been ascertained. There is no
warranty for wearing parts.
1.5
General safety instructions
The electrical equipment complies with the current VDE (the German Association for Electrical, Electronic &
Information Technologies) and accident prevention regulations.
Lethal voltages exceeding 50 V are inside the plug casing and the pump casing.
The cleaning intervals must be complied with to keep the pump safe to operation and to
allow a long service life. Before cleaning the pump has to be disconnected from the
power supply system. Do not use aggressive detergents.
Dispose operational supplements and replacement parts safely and responsibly. Always
follow the local environmental regulations and accepted codes. In case of a breakdown
the environment can be contaminated by leaking lubricants.
1.6
Operation safety instructions
Danger from power supply has to be eliminated (details see e.g. VDE or local safety regulations).
The power supply to which the pump will be connected must be installed properly acc. to the current safety
regulations protected by a 10 A (slow-acting) fuse.
When using the pump in swimming pools or garden ponds and their protected zones,
always comply with the regulations acc. to DIN/VDE 0100 part 702. Thereby the power
supply must be equipped with a residual-current-operated protective device (RCD) with a
rated residual current less than 0,03 A.
If there is a risk of flooding, move electrical connections to a flood protected area to
protect them from wetness.
The pump is equipped with a temperature protection that switches-off the pump in case of a thermal
overload. In this case unplug the pump and remove the reason of overload. After that the pump will switch-
on again automatically.
The plug may still have condenser voltage for a short time when unplugging the pump.
Carry the pump by the provided handle only.
Mind the max. submersion depth of 10 m / 32 ft. Make sure that the point of use or installation is protected
from sub-zero temperatures. Store the pump in dry rooms only. Storage room temperatures to
– 20°C / -
68°F are allowed for cleaned and dried pumps.
