AC Connections
On the back of the unit an IEC connection is provided for the AC power connection. Use a cable with
the appropriate connector for your local electrical system.
Always connect ground and NEVER use a ground lift adapter when connecting the Ether2DMX8
device.
In addition to the input a loop through IEC output connection is provided. This allows daisy chaining
power between multiple Ether2DMX8.
Do not exceed more than 6A total power draw from the IEC output.
DMX Connections
DMX Output connections are 5pin female XLR connectors.
The pin-out on all sockets is pin 1 to shield, pin 2 to cold (-), and pin 3 to hot (+). Pins 4 and 5 are not used.
Connect the DMX cables carefully to the desired ports.
Provide support and strain relief to prevent damage to the DMX ports. Avoid connecting heavy FOH
Snakes directly to the ports.
Adapters may be required for certain functions. The following adapters are available from Neutrik
