Replacing the lamp

Important! Do not touch the quartz bulb with bare fingers.

The lamp can be replaced with either a:

a Philips MSR -200 SA7DE GOLD ZMartin P7N 970-03-0[, or

an

a Osram HTI -200 SharTS ZMartin P7N 970-0304[.

Both lamps are available from your Martin dealer.

The clear _uartV bulb must be clean and free of any oils
from your fingers. Clean the lamp with an alcohol wipe and
polish it with a dry cloth, particularly if you accidentally
touch the bulb.

To replace the lamp:

- Disconnect the fixture from power and allow it to cool. Lock

the head horiVontally with the top up.

2 See Figure 6. Release the 4 _uarter-turn fasteners marked

with arrows on the rear plate. Pull the lamp assembly
straight back as far as it goes and let it rest on its retaining
pins.

3 See Figure 7. Pull the retention spring on the left-hand end of the lamp socket up and then swing the end of

the lamp out. Pull the other end out of the socket.

4 Inspect the socket for corrosion Zsee nReplacing the lamp socketo on page 26[ and replace if necessary.

5 See Figure 8. With the nipple on the bulb facing the back,

insert the right end of the new lamp in the socket. Pull up
on the left spring and snap the other end into place.

6 Lift  the  lamp  assembly  so  that  the  lamp  is  level  with  the

center of the reflector. Push the assembly straight in until it
seats, making sure the lamp passes through the reflector
opening. Lock the 4 _uarter-turn fasteners.

7 When installing a new lamp, reset the lamp hour and lamp

strike counters as described in nTimeo on page -3.
