Gently shake the steam iron to loosen any water drops that may be trapped. The warmth of the iron should dry out any remaining water.
NOTE:
If you empty the water tank after the steam iron has cooled down, set the steam iron in an upright position on its heel rest, plug it in and set the temperature to the maximum, heat for 2 minutes. Unplug the steam iron from the power supply.
SPRAYING
As long as there is enough water in the water tank, you may use the spray button at any temperature setting either on steam or dry ironing.
Press the spray button several times to activate the pump while you are ironing.
STEAM IRONING
With the unit unplugged, fill the steam iron with water.
Stand the steam iron on its heel rest in an upright position on an iron-safe surface and plug in.
Select the temperature best suited for the fabric to be ironed.
Set the steam control switch to position 2 or 3(for the models МТ-1125,1126, 1144).
When the light indicator is off, the steam iron has reached the desired temperature.
When finished, unplug the appliance from the power supply.
CAUTION:
Avoid coming in contact with escaping steam.
DRY IRONING
The steam iron can be used on the dry setting with or without water in the water tank, however it is best to avoid having the water tank too full of water while dry ironing.
Set the steam control switch to the „0‟‟ position (for the models МТ-1125,1126, 1144).
Stand the steam iron on its heel rest in an upright position on an iron-safe surface and plug it in.
Select the temperature best suited for the fabric to be ironed.
When the light indicator is off, ironing may commence.
When finished, unplug the appliance from the power supply.
CAUTION:
If the steam iron has been used for a long time, is hot and there is no water, do not refill it with water until the steam iron has cooled down.
BURST OF STEAM
The burst of steam feature provides additional steam for removing stubborn wrinkles.
Set the maximum temperature.
Set the steam control switch to position 3(for the models МТ-1125,1126, 1144).
Press the powerful steam button to release the burst of steam.
NOTE:
To prevent water leakage from the soleplate, do not keep the powerful steam button depressed for more than 5 seconds.
Powerful steam can also be applied when holding the iron in a vertical position. This is useful for removing creases from handing clothes, curtains, etc.
VERTICAL STEAM
Make sure that there is enough water in the water tank.
Stand the steam iron on its heel rest in an upright position on an iron-safe surface and plug it in.
Set the maximum temperature.
Set the steam control switch to position 3(for the models МТ-1125,1126, 1144).
When the light indicator is off, the steam iron has reached the desired temperature.
Hold the iron vertically and press the shot of steam button, an intense “vertical steam” will be emitted from the soleplate.
ANTI-CALC SYSTEM for model MT-1144
A special resin filter inside the water reservoir softens the water and prevents scale build-up in the plate. The resin filter is permanent and does not need replacing.
NOTE: Use tap water only. Distilled water makes the anti-calc system ineffective by altering its physicochemical characteristics.
Do not use chemical additives, scented substances or decalcifiers.
