2. Boiler Transporting and Installing
The boiler should be transported packed onto the transport pallet to the installation site. During transporta-
tion the boiler and the hopper must be in secured vertical position. The boiler must be on the transport pallet
provided by the manufacturer.
Unwrap in an ecologically clean manner. Respect, construction and ventilation requirements, especially the
active norms for burning devices and storing of burning materials as ventilation in the room where the unit
will be installed.
After positioning the boiler in the designated place, it must be
levelled with anti vibration pads. The fuel hopper is positioned at
the right/left side of the boiler and levelled accordingly. Levelling
must be very precise as the connections have too little margin for
error. Both objects are to be joined by 4 М8 bolts.
The burner is mounted to the side of the boiler in the opening
under the pellet container to the pre-assembled intermediate
flange and tightened with braces.
Minimum spacing from wall should be not less than 200 mm.
Minimum spacing in front of the boiler should be 1000 mm. The
non-combustible mounting surface and the foundation must be
flat and horizontal; if necessary, place wedges of non-combus-
tible material. If the foundation is not horizontal, the side with
connections (rear) may stand 5 mm higher in order to improve
ventilation and air circulation.
The foundation must be larger than the boiler base. With at least 300 mm on the front side and with 100 mm
on the other sides.
Boiler installation in home lived-in rooms is prohibited!!!
Once positioned the boiler must be connected to the heating system and to the chimney in compliance with
the applicable requirements.
For proper and reliable function the boiler needs to be well levelled, thus ensuring its proper venting.
Attention!!! Fire risk due to flammable materials and liquids.
•
Make sure no flammable materials and/or liquids are in the vicinity of the heating boiler.
•
Indicate the user of the installation the minimal distances to flammable and non-flammable materials.
Boiler Installation
Installation requirements for boiler Mareli CBM 45:
•
Chimney requirements.
•
Heating system requirements.
•
Hydraulic connection
•
Connecting the PIC valve
•
Connecting the protective heat exchanger
•
Filling the heating system and checking for tightness
Note that connecting of the boiler to the chimney must be carried out in accordance with the requirements
of the local construction supervision and coordinated with the chimney sweep. Installation of Mareli CBM
45 boiler to heating system should only be performed by trained technicians authorized by the manufacturer.
Such a boiler, according to BDS 303-5/2000, can be connected to the following types of systems:
•
High temperature (up to 90°C) heating system with open or closed expansion tank with a maximum
operating pressure 2 bar. When the system is equipped with a membrane expansion tank, it must have a
minimum volume of 35 l. And a safety pressure valve up to 3 bar.
•
Low temperature (up to 55°C) heating installation (underfloor heating or hot air convector) open or
closed. It is compulsory to install a mixing unit for lowering the temperature of the coolant past the
boiler.
Note: Operation at temperatures of the coolant in the boiler below 55° C is not allowed. In such a case the
warranty does not apply!!!
Good chimney drought is essential for proper functioning of the boiler. Boiler capacity and economical opera-
tion depend largely on it. At lower levels of draught it is recommended to use a fan for facilitating the removal
of exhaust gases. The advantages of such a fan are:
•
Providing additional chimney draught
•
Automatic air flow adjustment
Fan for removal of exhaust fumes VFC /150
