NOTE 9: Frequency for Engine Oil Filter (3

) service intervals will increase in special circumstance when using sulfur fuel
that is >500 ppm. To keep your crane running smoothly, without causing engine damage, it is important to drain
the engine crankcase and replace your engine oil filter (3
B
), using the following time line as your guide:
• If using 500–5000 ppm sulfur fuel in the engine, then drain the crankcase and replace your engine oil filter
every 400 hours of service.
• If using >5000 ppm sulfur fuel in the engine, then drain the crankcase and replace your engine oil filter
every 250 hours of service. Grove
does not recommend using >5000 ppm sulfur fuel in the engine.
