THE MANUAL
This operator’s manual provides the information you need to
correctly operate and maintain the 5515 crane.
NOTE:
Before you operate the crane, carefully read this
manual completely, so you will understand the
safety instructions and the operation of the controls
and safety equipment. You must comply with all
DANGER, WARNING
, and
CAUTION
notices.
They are for your benefit.
DIRECTIONAL REFERENCE
All references to the right side, left side, front, and rear are
given from the operator’s seat looking in a forward direction.
SERIAL NUMBER PLATE
For easy reference, when contacting the Grove dealer/Crane
Care Customer Service at Grove about this machine, record
the machine’s serial number in the space provided in the
next column. The numbers are stamped on the serial plate
which is located behind the operator’s seat. See Figure 1-1.
Components, such as the pump, transmission, engine,
axles, etc., have their own serial plates that will be found on
the housing of the component.
NOTE:
The replacement of any part of this product with
anything other than a Crane Care Customer
Service at Grove authorized replacement part may
adversely affect the performance, durability, or
safety of this product and will void the warranty.
Crane Care Customer Service at Grove assumes
no liability for unauthorized replacement parts
which adversely affect the performance, durability,
or safety of this product.

REPORTS
NOTE:
A Delivery Report form must be filled out by the
Grove distributor, signed by the purchaser, and
returned to the Crane Care Customer Service at
Grove once the product is sold and/or put into
service. This report activates the warranty period,
assuring that your claims during the warranty
period will be honored and processed expediently.
To guarantee full warranty service, make sure your
Grovedistributor has returned the report to Crane
Care Customer Service at Grove. An engine
warranty form must also be filled out, signed and
returned to the engine manufacturer for full
warranty coverage.
