E - EVERY 1000 HOURS SERVICE
Carry out the operations described previously as well as the following operations.
E1 - FUEL TANK
CLEAN
E2 - FUEL TANK BREATHER
CHANGE
While carrying out these operations, do not smoke or work near a flame.
Place the lift truck on level ground with the I.C. engine stopped.
- Inspect the par ts susceptible to leaks in the fuel circuit and in the tank.
- In the event of a leak, contact your dealer.
Never try to carry out a weld or any other operation by yourself, this could provoke an explosion or a fire.
- Place a container under drain plug 1 (fig. E1/1) and unscrew the plug.
- Remove filling plug 2 (fig. E1/2) in order to ensure that the oil is drained properly.
- Rinse out with ten liters of clean diesel through filler por t 3 (fig. E1/2).
- Refit and tighten the drain plug (tightening torque 29 to 39 N.m).
- Open the storage compar tment 4 (fig. E1/3).
- Unscrew the breather 5 (fig. E1/4) and replace with a new one (see: 3 - MAINTENANCE:
FILTERS CARTRIDGES AND BELTS) (tightening torque 5 ±2 N.m).
- Fill the fuel tank with clean diesel filtered through the filler por t.
- Refit the filling cap.
- If necessar y, bleed the fuel circuit (see: 3 - MAINTENANCE: G1 - FUEL SYSTEM).
E3 - SAFETY DRY AIR FILTER CARTRIDGE
CHANGE
- For the disassembly and reassembly of the dr y air filter car tridge, see: 3 - MAINTENANCE:
D3 - AIR FILTER CARTRIDGE.
- Gently remove the dr y air filter safety car tridge 1 (fig. E3), taking care to avoid spilling
the dust.
- Clean the gasket sur face on the filter with a damp, clean lint-free cloth.
- Before mounting, check the state of the new safety car tridge (see: 3 - MAINTENANCE:
FILTERS AND BELTS).
- Introduce the car tridge into the filter axis and push it in, pressing the edges and not the
middle.
NOTE: The periodicity for changing the safety car tridge is given for information only. It must
be changed for ever y two changes of the dr y air filter car tridge.
