Dampers must be installed in compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.
Damper installation, maintenance and serviceability checks may only be performed by personnel
qualified for these activities, i.e. "AUTHORISED PERSONNEL".
Additional training for these inspections, installation and repairs is performed by MANDÍK, a.s.
and issues a "CERTIFICATE", which is valid for 5 years.
Its extension is provided by a trained person directly from the trainer.
Upon the "CERTIFICATE’S" expiry, it loses its validity and is excluded from the trainer's registration.
Only professionals taking over the warranty for the work performed may be trained.
For the damper's reliable function, care must be taken to ensure that the closing mechanism and
the bearing surfaces of the blade are not clogged with dust deposits, fibrous or sticky substances
and solvents.
Without power supply, the damper can be operated manually and fixed in any required position.
Drill two holes into the protection box (from outside to inside) and pull through field wiring cables (fire
resistant cables) to connect actuator trailing lead. Protection box is made of calcium silicate plates.
Use drill (drill size acc. To suit connecting cable Ø + 2 mm for seal up by mastic) and make two holes (see
fig. 44).
●
Pull the heat resistant cable through the calcium silicate plate (wall) and connect with cables from actuator
acc. to above mentioned electrical diagram.
●
Seal up the space around cable with fire resistant mastic (HILTI CFS-S ACR, PROMASTOP) or equivalent.
●
Let the mastic harden.
