Carefully read through the Operating Instructions before starting any work!
This particularly applies to the General Safety Instructions section
and the safety instructions in the various chapters.
2.10 Procedure in the event of danger or accidents
Preventive measures
S
Always be prepared for accidents or fire!
S
Keep first-aid equipment (first-aid kit, blankets etc.) and fire extinguishers close to hand.
S
Regularly check first-aid equipment and fire extinguishers for completeness and proper functioning.
S
Ensure people are familiar with accident-reporting, first-aid and rescue equipment.
S
Provide regular safety instruction.
S
Keep access routes for rescue vehicles clear.
In the event of an accident: do the right thing
S
Stay calm.
S
Stop the engine immediately using the emergency off button.
S
Perform first-aid.
S
Alert the rescue services and/or fire brigade.
S
Assist with getting people out of the danger zone if possible.
S
Make sure the access routes for rescue vehicles are clear.
S
Inform the person in charge.
CAUTION
Accident despite all precautionary measures
If an accident occurs despite all the precautionary measures taken, e.g. due to one of the following reas
ons.
Therefore, seek immediate medical assistance in the event of:
S
Contact with corrosive acid.
S
Fuel penetration into the skin.
S
Scalding by hot oil or coolant.
S
Antifreeze spraying into the eyes etc.
