Maintenance and inspection
Lubrication
Lubricate all moving components and hinge points regularly using a light oil or WD40.
Adding or replacing hydraulic oil
CAUTION! It is important that you only use Falco
CH46-V hydraulic oil to add or replace the oil.
Using any other oil may cause serious damage to
the jack.
To add oil: With saddle fully lowered and jack on
level ground, remove filler plug (U). Oil should be
filled to level of oil filler plug hole. If low, add oil as
needed.
To replace the oil, demount the hydraulic ram (I), remove the oil filler plug (U) and drain all oil in a
suited container. When all old oil is drained refill the ram to the threading of the oil filler hole, then
replace the oil filler cap and secure it firmly. Now mount the ram onto the lift and remove all air from
the hydraulic system as described on page 10.
Inspection
Visual Inspection should be made before each use of the lift checking for leaking hydraulic fluid and
damaged, loose or missing parts. Each lift must be inspected by a manufacture’s repair facility
immediately. If subjected to an abnormal load or shock. Any lift which appears to be damaged in any
way, found to be badly worn, or operates abnormally MUST BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE until
necessary repairs are made by a manufacturer’s authorized repair facility. It Is recommended that an
annual inspection of the lift be made by a manufacturer’s authorized repair facility and that any
defective parts, decals or warning labels be replaced with original Mammuth parts.
Storing
When you are not using the lift or storing it for a longer period of time, the lift must ALWAYS be
stored in the lowest possible position.
