8.2 Installation of external cover
10 Housing of external cover
12 Sensor connection cable
1. Insert housing for external cover in wall break-
through/wall sleeve.
2. Align housing horizontally and mark the dowel
holes.
3. Remove housing, drill M6 dowel holes with a
6 mm Ø and insert dowels.
4. Insert sensor connection cable through the
opening of the external cover in wall break-
through/wall sleeve.
5. Press shutter into housing until it engages.
8.3 Attachment of the sensor connec-
tion cable
1. Pull the sensor connection cable through the
wall breakthrough/wall sleeve.
2. Attach the sensor connection cable, with ad-
hesive tape, to the underside of the wall
breakthrough/wall sleeve if possible.
A maximum of 10 cm is needed in the fan
housing for the connection to the control elec-
tronics.
8.4 Housing installation
1. Insert housing into wall breakthrough/wall
sleeve (TOP).
9 Cable grommet
2. Align housing horizontally and mark both
dowel holes, see arrow.
3. Drill dowel holes with a Ø of 6 mm and insert
dowels.
4. Push cable grommet carefully out of housing
and remove it.
NOTICE Danger of short-circuits and damage
to the unit. Water will penetrate if the power
cable is incorrectly fed into the fan housing or
if the cable grommet is not fitted correctly.
Cut off cable grommet cap such that the cable
grommet fits tightly round the power cable. Cut a
minimum of 5 mm
off the cap (power cable can
bend better and electronics cover can be posi-
tioned correctly).
Fit cable grommet correctly, seal on site if re-
quired.
5. Insert cable grommet into housing.
6. Feed power cable into the terminal compart-
ment such that the cable grommet fits around
the cable sheathing completely and does not
penetrate too far into the terminal compart-
ment.
7. Lead sensor connection cable, from the ex-
ternal climate sensor, into the hole provided
(→ arrow) in the fan housing.
