2.5 Flat Tire
Reduce your speed gradually, keeping a straight line. Move
cautiously off the road to a safe place well away from traffic. Park
on a level spot with firm ground. Stop the engine and turn ON your
hazard warning flashers.
Firmly apply the parking brake. Have everyone come out of the
vehicle on the side away from traffic.
Never stop your vehicle in a traffic lane to change a tire. You
could be hit by an oncoming vehicle. Keep driving until you reach
a safe location.
Lifting a vehicle to change a tire or perform maintenance is very
dangerous if you do not have the proper tools, safety equipment
and training. The jack provided along with the vehicle is to be used
only for changing a spare tire. It is never to be used to perform any
other maintenance or repair on the vehicle.
Never place any part of your body under any portion of the
vehicle when it is supported only by the jack. You could be
crushed by the vehicle if it falls off a jack. Keep everyone away
from the vehicle.
The jack and the tools are located in the box below the co-driver
seat.
