6.3. Connection to computer
Existing video and photo fi les can be directly
transferred from the camcorder to a compu-
ter. Using the USB connection the date and
time of the camcorder can also be set.
Connect the USB cable to the camcorder and
the computer. As soon as the
camcorder is switched on, the computer
shows an additional mass storage device
under My Computer. It is immaterial whether
the device is fi rst connected and then
switched on or vice versa.
When connected to the computer, the red LED on the camcorder is permanently
on. At the same time, the yellow LED lights up indicating that the battery is
charged up. To switch the camcorder off again, disconnect from computer.
6.4. Setting date and time
Date and time can be set on the camcorder and can be displayed on the videos
and photos. This can be done in two ways:
1. Use the
DateSet
program on the software CD (Windows only).
If the camcorder is connected to the computer, the program copies
a “time.txt“ fi le containing the current date and time information
to the memory card.

• If the CD menu does not automatically start, you can also install the individual programs by
selecting the CD under My Computer.
