7.  Replace the burner tray into the box and 

secure the fixing nuts on the front legs of 
the burner tray 

8.  Adjust the top two clamping screws to 

secure the top of the box into the 
fireplace opening.   

  

 

Note

: The black fixing screws 

used in the top of the box are 
NOT to be relied on as the main 
fixing method.

 

 

9.  Insert the fire into the Thermobox and 

connect the fire to the gas supply via the 
isolating valve supplied. 

10. Secure the fire to the Thermobox with 

the two captive screws (supplied) 
through the holes in the fire legs and the 
holes in the Thermobox. 

11.  Fit the trim or fascia if applicable.   

12. An optional cable fixing kit is available 

from the manufacturer.

3.8.4. Installation (Standard Thermobox Only) 

1.  Slide the box centrally into the opening 

such that the front edge of the box is 
level with the front face of the fireplace 
opening. 

2.  Mark out the rear holes on the base, 

onto the hearth. 

3.  Remove the Thermobox then drill and 

plug the holes as marked. 

4.  Replace the box into the opening and 

using appropriate screws, secure the box 
to the hearth through the rear holes. 

5.  Apply an appropriate seal to the front 

edge of the box. 

6.  Insert the fire into the Thermobox and 

connect the fire to the gas supply via the 
isolating valve supplied. 

7.  Adjust the top two clamping screws to 

secure the top of the box into the 
fireplace opening.

3.8.5. Installation (Slimline Thermobox Only) 

1.  Slide the box centrally into the opening 

and position the fire surround back panel 
in front of it. 

2.  Adjust the box such that its front edge 

meets the rear face of the fire surround 
back panel.  Mark out the appropriate 
holes on the base onto the hearth. 

3. 

Remove the surround and the 
Thermobox then drill and plug the holes 
as marked. 

4.  Replace the box into the opening and 

using appropriate screws, secure the box 
to the hearth through the rear holes. 

5.  Replace the fire surround and secure it 

in position in front of the Thermobox. 

6. Insert the fire centrally into the 

Thermobox mark the holes in the front 
legs of the fire onto the hearth. 

7.  Remove the fire tray then drill and plug 

at the marked positions. 

8.  Return the fire tray into the Thermobox 

and secure in position using appropriate 
screws. Connect the fire to the gas 
supply via the isolating valve supplied. 

9.  Apply an appropriate seal between the 

rear of the surround back panel and the 
Thermobox’s front edge.
