NANOCOLOR

®

 Advance 1.0, 11.2020

13.2  Update & Backup

Clicking

opens a window with the options Firmware update,

Method update and Backup.

NOTICE

We recommend to make a data backup before each update.
To save customer-specific special methods, we recommend
exporting them to an external storage medium, e.g. a USB
stick.

Download the folder with the update files from the
MACHEREY-NAGEL website. Unzip the folder and follow the in-
structions in the update manual.

13.3  System reset

A system reset sets the device back to the default setting. All
data, special methods and custom settings will be deleted. We
suggest that you backup all saved data, special methods, and
the user-defined settings beforehand

(see 13.2 Update & Backup,

page 33)

.

After pressing

, a dialogue with a confirmation prompt will

open. Confirming with

Yes

will reset the instrument to the default

settings.

13.4  Battery

Clicking the

Battery

icon opens a window with information about

the internal lithium-ion battery of the device. Here information
about capacity, status and voltage are displayed, among other
information. Have this information available when contacting
MACHEREY-NAGEL Technical Support.

13.5  Service

Use of the service menu is protected by a password. This menu
is reserved exclusively for authorized technicians for servicing
purposes.

13.6  Calibration

The spectrophotometer performs a self-test each time it starts to
check the basic calibration. The

Zero Calibration

 as well as the

Turbidity calibration

can be performed manually, if required, via

the calibration menu
In each case, the result of the calibration can be saved to an ex-
ternal storage device in the form of a CSV file by clicking the
icon.
