11.5.2.2 Method Design
The method design menu allows you to create special methods
based on previously established method information, such as
factors and wavelengths of the measurement. In the single wave-
length mode, the measurements are carried out at a defined
wavelength. The multiwavelength mode allows measurements
to be made while taking into account (sum, difference and ratio)
of several absorbance values that were measured at up to four
different wavelengths. A calibration function to the fourth degree
can be shown. Pressing opens a pop-up window for selecting
a single wavelength method or a multiwavelength method.
Depending on which selection is made, a window will open in
which the data of the special method can be entered. In the case
of the multiwavelength method, not only the wavelengths of the
measurement are required, but also the factors for the multiplica-
tion and corresponding calculation formula.
Method name:
Enter a method name via the text keypad. The
name should not exceed 25 characters in length. Confirm your
entry with Enter.
Method number:
The method number is a specific number with
which the method can be retrieved later from the list in the
User
Methods
menu
(see 11.5.2.1 List of methods, page 25)
. Enter
a method number between 1 and 99 using the numeric keypad.
The lowest available number will appear automatically. Confirm the
entry with
. If the selected number has already been assigned,
the message “This method number is already in use” will appear.
Either select another method number or delete the method using
that number.
