3.17.4 PEN SETTING (DISCRETE)
Touch Pen Setting (Discrete) button on the Setting view or Discrete button on Pen Setting (Common) view for a
specific pen to configure alarm setting on the Pen Setting (Discrete) view (Figure 3.17.4).

Alarm Description
Short description for ON (1) and OFF (0) status can be specified. Max. 5 characters.
Alarm Output
Alarm contact outputs can be provided to external output devices. Specify ‘Enable’ to activate the contact outputs.
This option can be changed while recording.
Delay
Once the discrete signal status is changed, the alarm is tripped only after the predefined time has elapsed in order
to avoid unwanted trips caused by noise interference.
Use the numeric keypad.
Node & Channel Number
Touch the data fields below each Alarm Output field and specify Node Number and Channel Number of the output
module.
This option can be changed while recording.
Normal & Alarm Color
Colors specified for normal and alarm conditions are used for the indicator on the Record view.
Use the color palette.
Alarm Message
Touch the data fields below each Alarm Output field and specify messages to represent the upper and lower alarms
on the Overview or on the Alarm History view. Use the alphanumeric keypad. Max. 10 characters.
