Thermostat or wall switch installation
The burner control switch is located in the centre of the control department opening. For your convenience, the
unit can also be operated by a thermostat or a wall switch control. Electronic are available from any authorized
CFHMfg dealer. Please note, bedroom installations require the use of a wall thermostat. Mount the thermostat or
switch in the desired location and run “two conductor thermostat wires” to the heater’s lower right hand corner,
close to the gas supply line.

Wireless Remote Control Option
The Riviera 42 Electronic Valve system utilizes and Remote Ready Control Module. No
additional components need to be installed. The module is simply switched to remote operation
and the handheld remote if fully functional. Remote Part Number is FP1001TH
Pilot Check:
The Riviera 42 utilizes an electronic pilot which only operates when the unit is activated. Pilot
flame should adequately cover the spark and flame electrodes as shown in the Illustration below.
WARNING: Incorrect adjustment of flame can lead to improper combustion which can be a safety hazard.
