Using for the first time
Charging the battery pack
• The battery pack must be charged prior to the
first start-up (charging time:
– Plug the power supply into a mains socket.
– Push the connector of the power supply into the
socket (7).
The charging status is displayed by the control
lights (4):
• Red control light lights = battery is charging.
• Red control lamp goes out = battery fully
charged.
Checking the remaining capacity of the battery
– Press the button (5).
The remaining capacity of the battery is displayed by
the control lights on the display (4):
• Red, yellow and green control lamps light up =
battery fully charged;
• Only red and yellow control lamps light up = bat-
tery partly discharged;
• Only red control lamp lights up = battery dis-
charged.
Operation
Inserting a tool
– Pull the tool holder (1) back and hold.
– Place the tool as far as it will go into the tool
holder.
– Release the tool holder again.
Changing the rotation direction
– To screw screws into place, press the rotation
direction switch (6) to the left (rotation in clock-
wise direction).
– To remove screws, press the rotation direction
switch (6) to the right (rotation in an anti-clock-
wise direction).
If the rotation direction switch is in the centre posi-
tion, the On/Off switch (8) is blocked.
Setting the torque
The torque of the device can be adjusted to 6 differ-
ent settings by turning the torque regulator (2):
• Settings 1–3 = Low setting for small screws.
• Settings 4–6 = Higher settings for larger screws.
Check before switching on!
Check to make sure the device is in a safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all device components are
correctly mounted.
Switching on and off
– To start the tool turning, press the On/Off but-
ton (8).
• The LED (9) will light up.
– To switch the unit off, release the On/Off
switch [5].
Screwdriver action
– Set the required torque using the torque regula-
tor (2).
– Keep the device in a straight line to the screw.
Before putting the unit into operation, read
and observe the instructions for use.
Risk of damage to the eyes!
Never look
directly into the LED.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
Do
not allow the battery pack to deep dis-
charge.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
Do
not press the On/Off switch after the device
has deactivated automatically.
Note:
The Li-Ion battery pack can be
charged at any time without affecting the
lifetime of the unit. Interrupting the charging
process will not damage the battery pack.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
Only use the rotation direction switch when
the device is at a standstill.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
Only use the torque regulator when the
device is at a standstill.
Note:
Always use the screw bit designed
for the screw. If you use the incorrect bit,
you may damage the head of the screw.
