3. Proper use
The eccentric screw pump of series B70V-HD is available in
different sizes. The pump is used for pumping viscous, adhesive,
crystallizing, dirty or hardening fluids, e.g. paints and lacquers,
from mobile vessels.
The pump tubes may only be installed in an upright position.
The apparatus is provided for commercial use only.
Any other use as well as any modifications of the product have
to be considered as improper use.
The manufacturer will not be held responsable for any damages
resulting from such improper use, the risk lies solely with
the user.
3.1 Resistance
The compatibility of the pump tube for the medium in question
must be checked with the aid of a resistance table (e.g. Lutz
resistance table) and the table of materials.

4. Starting up
4.1 Installation of the B70V-HD-D
The three-phase drives are connected with the pump by means
of a quick fastener.
Inside of the fastening screw threads of the motors are
pre-mounted for this purpose two positioning pins
(Fig. 1 -
Item 1)
and two locking screws
(Fig. 1 – Item 2)
.
Before assembly the jaw-type coupling must be adjusted at
the motor- and pump-side
(Fig. 1 - Item 3)
.
Attach the motor onto the pump. The both locking screws here
must be in accordance with the large bores at the flange of the
pump
(Fig. 1 - Item 4)
.
After a clockwise turning of the motor at block position
(Fig. 1.1 - Item 1)
the both locking screws can be tightened
(Fig. 1.1 - Item 2)
.
4.2 Installation of the B70V-HD-SR
Attach the pump motor onto the pump tube
(Fig. 2)
. The motor
must be turned slightly to ensure that the driver engages
correctly in the coupling of the pump tube. Connect the motor
and the pump tube with the hand wheel (right-hand thread).
Ensure that the pump is fitted correctly and securely.
4.3 Electrical connection of three-phase motors
The electrical connection may only be carried out by
trained qualified personnel. Following regulations must
be observed:
- All works must only be carried out in voltage-free
condition of the motor. Protection switch must be set
to OFF-position.
- Mains voltage and frequency are as specified on the
rating plate
(Fig. 3)
.
- Dimension of the connecting cable must be adjusted
to the nominal current.
- The insulation of the connecting cable must be
adjusted to the environmental conditions.
4.4 Direction of rotation
The motor must rotate in the direction indicated by the arrow on
the adapter
(Fig. 4)
. Reconnect the motor as necessary.
