Removing the case and its parts
Attention!
Risk of injury by moving parts!
Before removing the case switch off the light of the sewing machine and disconnect the
power plug.
Regularly clean the case. Cleaning is recommended whenever you notice
frequent tearing of the lower thread or uneven course of the seams.
Remove the case for cleaning.
1. For removing the case bring the needle to the highest position and open
the free arm lid.
2. Remove the bobbin case from the sewing machine, see page 11.
3. Turn both clamping bars (B) and remove the ring cover (C).
4. Take hold of the centre pin of the case (D) and pull it out.
5. Remove dirt particles and fabric residues from the case movement
enclosure as well as from the case (D) and from the ring cover (C).

6. Lubricate the parts with oil by using a lint-free cloth that is lightly
soaked in oil.
7. Put some oil on the point of the case movement enclosure (E) marked by
the arrow.
8. Reassemble everything. For this purpose, take hold of the case (D) on
the centre pin and replace it in the direction showed by the figure.
9. Hold the ring cover (C) so that the ring cover shoe (F) points downwards,
and carefully replace it in the case movement enclosure (F).
10. Fasten the ring cover (C) and make sure that the ring cover shoe (F) is
tightly fixed in the provided dent (G) in the case movement enclosure
again.
11. Fix the ring cover (C) by replacing the clamping bar (A) into its initial position.
12. Replace the bobbin case with the bobbin again.
NOTE:
Only use sewing machine oil for your sewing machine!
