Cleaning the feeder
Attention!
Risk of injury by moving parts!
Switch off the light of the sewing machine and disconnect the power plug before you
start cleaning.
1. Remove the needle and sewing foot (see page 9).
2. Loosen the screws on the needle plate (1) by means of a screwdriver.
3. Remove the needle plate (1).
4. Clean the feeder by using a small brush and replace the needle plate.
5. Screw the needle plate (1) back on again.
6. Fasten the sewing foot and the needle. The machine is ready for operation
again.
Oiling the parts beneath the upper cover
Attention!
Risk of injury by moving parts!
Switch off the light of the sewing machine and disconnect the power plug before you
start lubricating with oil.
Attention!
Damage of the machine!
Use sewing machine oil only! Only use one or two drops of sewing machine oil for
lubricating he machine with oil, otherwise your fabric may be soiled.
You should lubricate your sewing machine with oil every 2 - 3 months.
If the machine does not function faultlessly after a long idle period, use
several drops of sewing machine oil before starting.
1. Remove the screw covering (A), the screw (B) and the upper cover (C).

2. Clean and oil the points marked with an arrow, see figure.
3. Close the upper cover and screw it tight.
NOTE:
In case of frequent use of the sewing machine it is advisable to clean it regularly, in order to achieve
optimum sewing results.
NOTE:
After lubrication with oil, you should place a piece of old fabric beneath the
sewing foot and let the machine run for several minutes without a thread, in
order to remove leaking oil.
