OPERATION
Blind stitch using blind stitch foot
Use the blind stitch foot to sew invisible seams on trousers, skirts, etc.
Use the following settings:
•
Stitch pattern rotary switch: 7
•
Sewing foot: blind stitch foot
•
Stitch length rotary switch 1-3
•
Thread tension adjusting wheel: 4-6
1. Fix the blind stitch foot, see paragraph Change the sewing foot, page 9.
2. Fold the fabric into the desired fabric breadth, as described in the figure. On the right, an edge of
approx. 4 mm has to remain when the seam is refolded.
3. Place the seam beneath the blind stitch foot, so that the guide of the foot
runs along the edge of the folded seam.
4. Adjust the guide on the blind stitch foot by means of the screw, so that
in case of the highest overstitch the needle only meets the edge of the
seam. On the other side of the seam only one point of the thread should
be visible.
5. Remove the fabric from the machine and smooth it out. The unfolded
fabric shows a blind stitch seam.
NOTE:
For retaining a better control, you should carry out stitching this seam very slowly!
