• Disconnect Battery Pack from Tool or before making any Adjustments, Changing
Accessories, or Storing the Tool.
Such preventive Safety Measures reduce the risk of starting
the Tool accidentally.
• Store idle Tools out of reach of Children and other untrained persons.
Tools are Dangerous
in the hands of untrained users.
• When Battery Pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like:
Paper Clips,
Coins, Keys, Nails, Screws, or other small Metal Objects that can make a connection from one
terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause Sparks, Burns, or a Fire.
• Maintain Tools with Care.
Properly maintained tools are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Check for Misalignment or Binding of Moving Parts, Breakage of Parts, and any other
condition that may affect the Tool’s Operation. If Damaged, have the Tool Serviced
before using.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools. Do not use a damaged
tool. Tag damaged tools
“Do not use”
until repaired.
• Use only accessories that are only recommended by Lumax for your model.
Only accessories
that are capable of handling a minimum of 4,500 PSI (310 bar) should be used. Accessories that
may be suitable for one tool may create a risk of injury when used on another tool.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
•
Lumax Lubrication products are Precision Engineered Tools, which are capable of creating pressures
well above 10,000 PSI (690 BAR).
Always use Safety Equipment. Always Wear Adequate Eye
Protection.
Only Professional use assures Danger-free operation of these products.
Warning:
Extreme Pressure may cause Nozzle Extension or Grease Hose to burst. Keep hands clear of
the Extension and Hose during operation of the Grease Gun. Be extra careful while working with
Needle point Grease Adapters and Dispensers.
Keep your hands away from the Needle Point
at all times and when injecting Grease. Grease injection injuries are a very serious injury.
While working on the Grease Gun Barrel, make certain that the open, threaded barrel-end always
points away from yourself or others! Never point the Outlet at yourself or others.
•
Only use Lumax Whip Hose Extensions or Adapters.
Always follow Grease Hose Instructions
and Warnings.
Do not abuse the Hose. Never use the Hose to carry the Tool. Keep the
Hose away from Heat, Sharp Edges, or Moving parts. Never touch a Hose that is under
Pressure
. Hold the Hose only in the area of the Spring Guard. Hoses are subject to rapid aging.
Never use a Hose that is older than 2 years. Hoses must never be Bent or Twisted with force.
The smallest bending radius for hose is 4” (100 mm).
Immediately
replace the Hose at the first
sign of Wear, Kink, or damage to the outside Jacket.
• Never operate the Grease Gun in Explosive Atmosphere.
Power Tools can create Sparks which
may Ignite Flammable Liquids, Dust, or Fumes. Do not touch the Coupler or the work piece
immediately after operation: they may be extremely hot and could burn your skin.
•
Do not use Battery Charger in Damp or Wet Locations.
•
Check your RoboLuber before each use to ensure that all Connections are Securely fastened.
High Working Pressures may result in grease being injected into flesh upon malfunction of
one of the Components. Only use Components that show no indications of Damage.
• Seek immediate medical care if an injury occurs.
