DP
(DP = DewPoint): The instru-
ment can be used in the
dewpoint
alarm generator
mode by selecting
the DP mode.
The DP mode enables simultaneous display of surface temperature
(e.g. wall) and dewpoint temperature and serves to trace critical
surfaces on which condensation could form by dropping below the
dewpoint.
The dewpoint temperature is the temperature at which air is saturated
with water vapour. On reaching or dropping below this temperature, for
example on cold wall surfaces, condensation forms.
The surface temperature appears in the upper display and the dew-
point temperature (TdP) of the respective ambient climate in the
lower display in this mode.
No function from the upper menu can
be selected in the DP mode!
In configuration area
Unit 1
the unit (°C, °F) to be displayed is set
identically for both temperatures. °C is set at the factory. Both the sur-
face temperature and the dewpoint temperature (TdP) are displayed
in the selected unit.
The laser light is switched on for measurement location marking as
soon as the DP mode is selected. The laser lights for a maximum of
2 minutes and can be activated for another 2 minutes respectively
with a
