Choosing User or Administrator Operation
Immediately after the self-test screen, a log-in screen appears, as shown in Figure 4. On this screen
you have the option of logging in as the
User
or
Administrator
. The
User
functions allow first-
line responders to perform all the tasks needed in the line of duty. The
Administrator
functions
allow a health physicist or other expert to set up the device for specific applications, and to perform
additional maintenance functions.

The
User
mode can generally be accessed without a password,
while the
Administrator
mode requires a password to be entered.
