Configuring All Channels on a Port

Whether you are configuring all channels as one channel, or strapping
one or more individual channels together on a port, determines what
you do next:
a
If you are configuring all channels on the port to function as one
continuous channel on the virtual E1 port, (the non-strapping condi-
tion), remain on this window and continue with the “Configuring
All Virtual E1 Channels on a Port (Without Strapping)”, the next
procedure.
b
If you are configuring one or more channels on the port (the strap-
ping condition) continue with the ”Configuring a Virtual Port with
One or More E1 Channels” on page 4-27.

Reset Display
Resets the fields to the last set of saved values.
Bring All Interfaces Into
Service
Brings the out-of-service, configured virtual DS1 interfaces for the
port to in-service status.
Take All Interfaces Out Of
Service
Takes the in-service configured virtual DS1 interfaces for the port to
out-of-service status. You must use this command first before using
the
Delete All Interfaces
command.
J1 Trace Configuration
Displays the Higher Order Trace - J1 Byte Configuration window.
Delete All Interfaces
Deletes the configured virtual DS1 interfaces for the port. You must
take all interfaces out of service (using the
Take All Interfaces
Out Of Service
command) before you can use this command to
delete all the configured interfaces.
