1. The caregiver stands beside the
chair at the user’s height and
faces the chair.
2. The caregiver then pushes back
on the backrest with one hand
while the other hand leans on the
armrest while transferring their
weight from one leg to the other.
This maneuver will cause the
backrest to tilt backwards while
rising the leg rest simultaneously.
