MOS components
Avoid damage from electrostatic charging.
Observe the rules for handling MOS components.
Note
The appropriate fi gures for installation of the tuner can be found in these instructions on pages 9 to 11.
Do not stand the TV set upright again until the rear panel and stand base have been mounted on the TV.
Procedure
To simplify installation of the tuner module you have removed the stand base from the Con-
cept L42.
Loosen and remove the fastening screws between the carrier and the sockets on the circuit
board (page 9, fi g. 3, reference lines a1 to a9).
Loosen and remove the marked fastening screws for the carrier (screws to be removed: page
9, fi g. 3, arrows b1 to b6).
The screw shown on page 9, fi gure 3, arrow B is only loosened.
Please observe the copper strips (page 9, fi g. 4, arrow 1).
Turn the carrier as shown on page 9, fi g.4.
Check that the plug is free of defects (tuner module).
Insert the tuner module in the connector strip (page 10, fi g. 5, white frame).
Torque for tightening the screws: less than or equal 0.5 Nm.
Turn the carrier back to the starting position and screw the removed screws back in (carrier
and sockets on circuit board, fi g. 3 and carrier screws).
Re-stick the copper strips (page 9, fi g. 4, arrow 1), as before, or renew the copper strips.
Screw in the three fastening screws for the tuner module (page 10, fi g. 6, arrows 1 to 3).
Pull off the backing foil from the cut to size foil.
Stick the foil to the tuner and carrier as shown on page 11, fi g. 7.
The foil prevents possible interference problems.
Plug in the enclosed connecting lead to the tuner (page 11, fi g. 7).
Press the hole for the later rear panel screw through the stuck on foil with a suitable tool
(page 11, fi g. 7, arrow).
Replace the rear panel.
Reinsert the previously removed screws and tighten with the correct torque.
